Big Win for Florida Land Conservation

Writer's picture: wayne perrywayne perry

Tarpon Springs, Fla. A land conservation group achieved a big win when they were able to save a 13.5 acre, heavily wooded parcel of land from development and bulldozers. The land, located in Pinellas County, was purchased with money gained from thousands of donations from local donors, along with a $2.5 million grant from the state. The plan is to keep the land intact and untouched, with no public access. When land conservation wins, we all win.
